Can someone give me a list of advanced technologies in Japan which you won’t find in any other country?
It could be concerned with robots, home appliances, transport, cell phones..basically any gadget or hi-tech invention which has features only found in Japan and no where else.
I know that they have special hi-tech toilets which, for example is only found in Japan…any others you know?? You could also give me a source or link with your answer. Thanks!

Cars are made with very impressive robotics. You can take a tour of the Toyota factory in Toyota, Aichi, Japan.

The car parks are also pretty interesting too. Some are just narrow buildings downtown where you drive onto a rotating disc, then onto a ramp which is then elevated up into the ferris-wheel type structure.

There are all sorts of gadgets, but they aren’t really used in normal daily life. If you went to Expo 2005 you would have seen robotic greeters and then a performance by robots at the Toyota pavillion.

Some people have robotic dogs as pets.

It’s interesting to see all the old precursors to robots, like the karakuri ningyo, a wooden doll that would come to you, serve you tea, then go back. That was built a couple hundred years ago.

The internet is pretty advanced in Japan. Instead of using 26 letters, you can use all those kanji and kana. Think about the implications. That’s pretty difficult to set up something like that.

Although gadgets are my best friends, I some how don’t see the major advantages in getting a really High Tech mobile phone that does Internet and a bunch of features that I won’t use…ever.
I’m upgrading from a brick Nokia I’ve had for years and I really appreciate the simplicity and the style of the Motorola Razr V3 (or V3x or V3i).

Can anyone give me some reason on why to get a Hi-Tech phone (can be anything) or any reason on why not to get the Motorola V3?

Well i feel the same way. You really don’t need to spend your money on that. Get A not so expensive phone. That can do the simple things you need. To call people. If you have an old phone thats clonky and old its not a bad idea to just get a simple new one. Those high tech ones are just really no need for them. Unless you do a lot of business.
